Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix is the Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and found her passion to sprint in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks, after her first attempt. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. She then went to at the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. The following year, Felix earned her very first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting a junior world record by running 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed among the top three athletes in her respective events.
