Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18 the 18th of November, 1985, in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was aware that she had a talent for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first attempt, Felix was second in the 200 meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix signed a contract for a professional career with Adidas in 2003. She later enrolled in University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics, at Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by the 200m race in 22.18 secs. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her becoming the youngest female to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. In 2007, she won this title and beat her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top three in all event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
